Get the Shopify app
To begin, log into your Shopify admin panel. Navigate to the Shopify App Store and search for “Liliwi”. Once you land on the app listing page, click the Install button.

Clicking “Install” will redirect you back to your Shopify admin panel to an authorization screen. Here, Shopify will outline the specific access scopes Liliwi requires to function properly (such as reading orders, customers, or managing script tags). Because Liliwi uses Shopify-managed installation, this step is highly secure; Shopify securely provisions an access token without exposing complex API keys, meaning the installation occurs quickly without screen flickering or multiple browser redirects. You will click Install app to accept these permissions.
Dashboard and plan overview
The main dashboard serves as the central hub for monitoring your app’s performance and current subscription limits. It immediately displays your account status, showing the plan and price.
From this view, you can quickly navigate to core app functions:
- Assistant: Customize the bot’s tone, rules, and visual interface.
- Data training: Upload documents or sync your Shopify catalog to teach the AI.
- Chat history: Review past customer interactions and the bot’s logic.
The dashboard clearly tracks two main metrics:
Conversations Used: your current cycle usage. In this instance, 2 out of 50 conversations have been used, leaving 48 remaining for the billing cycle.
Storage Used: Monitors the data consumed by the AI’s training materials. The snapshot shows 5.1 KB used out of the 100 MB Trial limit. A note highlights that there is a minimum storage duration of 7 days.
Detailed Usage and Quota Tracking
Below the main overview, the dashboard provides a granular breakdown of exactly how your Shopify store consumes resources, helping you manage your limits effectively.

Conversation breakdown: Categorizes the usage into active, closed, and expired conversations, confirming the total counted against your limit.
Storage breakdown: Details data usage across active documents, deleted documents pending expiration, and failed uploads (which do not count toward your quota).
Events and System Rules:
The recent quota events log provides a live audit trail of background checks, confirming that recent conversation and storage checks passed successfully. Additionally, the how usage is counted panel transparently outlines the system’s rules:
